Saras completed the sale of SarHelianto S.r.l. to PLT energia
 
          
		  Saras S.p.A. announces that Sardeolica S.r.l. has sold its subsidiary SarHelianto S.r.l., to PLT energia S.r.l., a leading Italian operator in the renewable energy sector. 
SarHelianto S.r.l. owns and operates the photovoltaic plant located in Cagliari - Sardinia - in the Macchiareddu area which, with an installed capacity of 79 MW and an estimated production of 150 GWh of clean energy per year, contributes with sustainable energy to Italy's decarbonization targets. 
Franco Balsamo, CEO of Saras S.p.A. declared: "We are satisfied with the agreement reached with PLT energia, a leading independent operator in the renewable energy sector in Italy, which will be able to enhance and develop SarHelianto's activities. Our focus it the oil refining business, which is experiencing an important transition phase; we shall continue our development projects in the renewable sector, with the substantial pipeline that we have in Sardinia". 
 
Stefano Marulli, CEO of PLT energia S.r.l., declared: "The transaction is part of the strategic objectives of PLT energia's industrial plan, which provides for the strengthening of our portfolio of assets in operation and the expansion of our presence on the national territory. We are ready to make our experience and skills available to SarHelianto, to achieve new and important steps, continuing the path of development and participatory dialogue that Saras has always had with all the local stakeholders". 
 
Saras, through its subsidiary Sardeolica, will continue to focus on the development of renewables, mainly in Sardinia, where it owns two wind farms for a total of 171 MW, and a pipeline of over 650 MW, at various development stages. The proceeds from the sale of SarHelianto Srl will also be used to finance the important Energy Transition and efficiency programs of the Sarroch refinery.
  
By the end of 2025, PLT energia will reach an installed capacity of 430 MW, to which further 260 MW will be added, currently at an advanced stage of construction. In addition, it has a development pipeline of around 3.4 GW, of which 600 MW have already received authorization.  
As part of the transaction, Saras was assisted by Intesa Sanpaolo (IMI CIB Division) as financial advisor, by Parola Associati as legal advisor and by EOS Consulting SpA as technical advisor.  
PLT energia was assisted by Gianni & Orrigoni as legal advisor, by Fitchner as technical advisor and by Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena for the structuring and granting of the loan to support the transaction.
