Crédit Agricole Italia provides €31.5 million financing to the PLT energia Group
Crédit Agricole Italia and Green Castronovo 2, a company active in the production of renewable electricity and part of the PLT energia Group, have signed a financing agreement totaling €31.5 million to support the construction of a next-generation wind farm to be developed in the municipalities of Castronovo and Prizzi, in the province of Palermo.
The plant will consist of five innovative wind turbines, with a total installed capacity of 30 MW. Once fully operational, it is expected to generate 65 GWh of electricity annually, enabling savings of over 30,000 tonnes of CO2.
The PLT energia Group is a leading Italian operator in the renewable energy sector, owned by the Tortora family, which has long been active in the industry. In 2025, the company reached an installed capacity of 375 MW, with an additional 150 MW currently in an advanced stage of construction. Furthermore, it has a development pipeline of approximately 3.4 GW, of which 600 MW have already received authorization.
Through this transaction, Crédit Agricole Italia, advised by the law firm ADVANT Nctm, reaffirms its commitment to being a key partner and once again demonstrates its strong focus on promoting the sustainable development of the local area.
