PLT energia with Vergnet to build more than 20 small wind plants across Italy and abrod
PLT ENERGIA is carrying on with its internationalization process by signing an agreement with Vergnet Group aimed at building small wind plants across Europe for an overall installed power of more than 4MW.

Milan, 30th June 2014 – PLT ENERGIA SpA, an industrial holding company operating in the field of renewable energies sector with an yearly electric energy production of more than 230 GWh and Vergnet SA, one of the global leader in the construction and supply of wind turbines, have signed a frame agreement for an industrial partnership aimed at the installation, by the side of PLT energia, of wind plants of 200 kW, both in Italy and abroad.
Pierluigi Tortora, PLT energia CEO: “The dynamism of PLT Group has allowed, thanks to the partnership with Vergnet, to put into operation in Italy the first small wind plants of 200 kW, with reliable and technologically advanced wind turbines. The international standing of Vergnet, thanks to the renewed agreement, will allow PLT energia to realize other 20 small wind plants in Italy in the two-year period of 2015-2016, as well as to continue its internationalization process aimed at realizing small wind plants in countries characterized by an high windy component, such as England and Scotland”.

Vergnet Group, present in 35 countries and listed on Paris Stock Exchange Alternext list, is specialized in the generation of electric energy from wind, solar and hybrid source and it has installed all over the world 900 wind turbines as well as it has supplied water to 50 million people.
The collaboration between PLT energia and Vergnet Group, started in 2012, has already allowed to put into operation 8 Vergnet plants in Italy, whose maintenance has been committed to PLT engineering Srl, EPC contractor of PLT energia Group.
