The photovoltaic greenhouse in the municipality of Ortezzano (FM) is permanently used for agricultural farming and nursery, while the photovoltaic modules for the production of electrical energy are part of the roofing .
The pitched roof of the greenhouse is composed of two parts: a south-facing part, with totally integrated photovoltaic panels, and a north-facing one with double-layer inflated roof, whose structure is composed of rectangular tube extrusions, inserted in reinforced concrete plinths to anchor the structure to the ground, and metal trusses. The double-layer inflated cloth of the hip roof ensures better insulation and greater thermal conductivity, so that the greenhouse has high heat retention and protects cultivations from frosting and low temperatures.
The windows on the pitched roof as well as the infillings are motorized and controlled by independent control units according to the environmental parameters.
The area covered by the greenhouse is 22,335 m2 and it is at 322 m ASL.
